What you will have

A Meta campaign with the Leads objective, optimising for the website Lead event, is active with three creatives, within the budget cap and stop rule from docs/ads-plan.md. A click from the ad shows its campaign name on a test lead in the CRM.

Part 4 — Creative with Claude

Prompt to Claude
Purpose: draft three Meta ad creatives with clearly different angles for my first
lead campaign.

Context: read docs/brief.md (audience and their problems) and docs/content.md (our
real offer and proof). Visitors will land on our page and request a quote.

Write docs/ads/meta-creatives.md with three ads. For each:
- the angle in one line, and which customer problem from the brief it answers;
- primary text: two versions, one short (1-2 sentences) and one longer;
- headline: three options, short;
- suggested call-to-action button from Meta's standard list (for example "Get
  quote" or "Learn more");
- a description of the image or short video that fits the angle, which I can shoot
  on a phone or choose from my own photos.
Name the ads in lowercase with hyphens (for example time-back, same-cleaner,
move-out) - I will use these names in URL parameters.

Constraints: only claims supported by docs/content.md; no invented prices, numbers,
reviews or guarantees. Do not address personal attributes of the reader directly
(no "Are you struggling with...?" about health, finances, age and similar). No
before/after promises we cannot prove. Plain language.

Done when: the three angles are different in substance and each claim cites its
line in docs/content.md.

Do along

Pause the video where told and do each step on your own project.

  1. After Part 1, pause: read your Meta budget, target and stop rule aloud from docs/ads-plan.md.
  2. After Part 4, pause: run the creative prompt. Rewrite the texts in your own words. Prepare three images or videos you have the right to use.
  3. Check the ad account has a payment method; set the account spending limit.
  4. After Part 5, pause: build the campaign: Leads objective, Website conversion location, Lead event from your dataset, lifetime budget and end date from the plan, your service area.
  5. After Part 6, pause: create the three ads with their names fixed before publishing and the URL parameters as shown, adapting utm_campaign to your campaign name. Do the read-back, publish, and set review reminders.
  6. After Part 7: click through from the ad preview and submit a test lead; mark it as a test.
  7. Add a "Meta" section to docs/ads-plan.md with launch date, budget, end date and review days. Commit and push.

Check your work

  1. Delivery shows the campaign, ad set and at least one ad as active (learning is fine).
  2. The ad set's budget and end date equal the figures in docs/ads-plan.md; the account spending limit is set.
  3. Click through from the ad preview and submit a test lead: the CRM lead card shows utm_campaign=quote-meta (your campaign name) and the ad name in utm_content.
  4. Events Manager shows the Lead from that test, received from browser and server.

Common problems

  • Lead event not selectable in the ad set → no recent Lead in the dataset. Submit a test lead with consent accepted, wait a few minutes, reload.
  • Ad rejected → open the reason. Give Claude the exact policy text and the ad, and ask for a rewrite using only facts in docs/content.md.
  • CRM shows {{ad.name}} literally → the parameters were typed into the website URL field in a way that broke the brackets, or copied with changed characters. Re-enter them in the URL parameters field.
  • Spend with clicks but no leads → check the page on a phone first: most Meta traffic is mobile. Then compare with your stop rule, and act on the rule.
  • "Learning limited" → expected at small budgets. Do not split the budget across more ad sets; fewer ad sets concentrate the data.

Homework

About 30 minutes, on your own. It spends nothing beyond the budget this lesson set and changes nothing in Ads Manager: no budget increase, no extra campaign or ad, no edits to the live ones. Your stop rule still applies as written.

  1. First review entry. On your first review day, copy spend and link clicks per ad from Ads Manager and count leads per utm_content in the CRM. Deliverable: a dated row under "Meta" in docs/ads-plan.md. Done when: the row ends with one sentence saying whether the stop rule's trigger is met.
  2. A fourth angle, on paper. Write one more angle yourself: the angle in one line, primary text, headline and image idea, using only claims from docs/content.md. Deliverable: an entry in docs/ads/meta-creatives.md under "Next round – not launched". Done when: it answers a customer problem from the brief that the three live ads do not.
  3. Photo bank. Take or collect six more photos or short clips of your own work that you have the right to use. Keep them in a folder outside the repository. Deliverable: a list in docs/ads/meta-creatives.md of what each shows. Done when: six items are listed, each with whose permission you have, or "no people or private homes shown".
